It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. The architect, like the artist, is able to tell his/her story without words, by the use of lines, open spaces, pictures, materials, gradients and angles. He/she is gifted with the ability to speak a language that people of different nations and tongues can all understand, an international language that opens eyes, broadens visions and allows people to enter into a realm of new ideas and attractive places; to enter by means of the architect’s vision into a place where they would love to be, a design which they would love to have conceived themselves and are able to enjoy because of the creative talent of another, whether that design be an office block, an auditorium or an attractive comfortable residence they would like to call home.
Exciting creativity and a sense of well-being within a structured environment is able to be achieved not only by designing new buildings along modern lines, but also, and more simply, by employing more traditional designs, coupled with attention to detail, careful application and use of materials in a particular manner so as to depict what the architect has in mind.

It is vital for architects to understand the resultant effects of the buildings they create. Walls provide protection and shelter, while at the same time can divide, confine and exclude. When examined closely, the same negative effects of division, confinement and exclusion can be seen in building items such as through something as simple as a step, uneven surface, door handle or an improperly lit room, as these create barriers for
many people and in particular persons with disabilities and the elderly.
Through a holistic approach to design and careful attention to detail we aim to create an environment that is simple and easy to navigate for everybody who enters; from the lady wearing high heels or the mother pushing a pram, to a girl who is visually impaired or a person using a wheelchair.

An effective interior design achieves a space which is both functional and beautiful. It focuses on the user and his experience, applies careful planning to achieve the required function of the room and a strategic use of colour, texture, light, shape and form to evoke the desired feelings and emotions best suited to its use.

In a world where cities are expanding, and the density of built form is rapidly increasing the importance of incorporating nature in the design of new buildings cannot be over emphasised. The garden is a treasured space that serves many purposes and uses, it can be a place of beauty from which peace, relaxation and tranquillity emanate, a place where one can escape the busy modern world, or a space for play or social activities. Gardens are spaces where children grow, learn, play and the imagination runs free. Studies have indicated that a child’s interaction with nature is important to all major aspects of his/her development including; “intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically”. Our designs are enhanced by incorporating nature wherever possible through the inclusion of roof gardens, vertical gardens and designing buildings which respect their surrounding environments through strategic sustainable design principles and a careful understanding of what the brief requires with regard to the purpose and use of the spaces.
